Only about 3 percent off asking price in Arlington in May 2010.</description>

Towns went up 12.46 percent versus “only” 8.62 percent for single family homes.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The average days on market dropped in 2010 to 38 days from 77 days in 2009.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Bargaining room? In May 2009, about 8 percent off asking price.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;In May 2010 2010, about 4 percent bargaining room.</description>

On average in DC, only 5 percent off list price.</description>
