UPDATE July 24, 2010 - The market statistics video above for JUNE 2010 was released today, Saturday, July 24, 2010.

-------------------

The Washington DC metro area is a confusing place to move to and buy a home if you are from out of town. It is nearly as confounding if you already live here.

I’m not really into text, so we’ll do video on the following pages. But let’s get a few things out of the way.

First, Washington DC as a region is one of the wealthiest places on earth. And we’re not talking about a few people living in the clouds and starving masses walking the streets looking for handouts.

There is a lot of money here, and it is very well spread around. In the city itself, and in the Virginia and Maryland suburbs, DC is affluent.

Why is that? Simple -- the US government is here. Lots of stable jobs, high paying jobs. Also, this is where money is created out of thin air!

This more than anything will make your house hunting difficult. There isn’t a good side of the tracks and a bad side. It’s all good. Really.

So, should you buy a home in DC ? Yes.

Can you feel confident buying a home in DC? Yes.
